Nikole Pascetta, Ph.D. (Canada): An alumnus (1990-1992) of the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School in Paris, France, Nikole holds a Ph.D. in Theatre Education and MA in Interdisciplinary Studies (York University). Lecoq’s physically based training is the creative foundation of her ‘making meaning through movement’ performance research. Recent publications on the cross-disciplinary use of Neutral Mask and Commedia dell’Arte include UBCO’s Working Papers in Linguistics, The Routledge Companion to Jacques Lecoq and an upcoming chapter titled “Jacques Lecoq and This Theatre Called my Body”, an autoethnography on collective creation, social awareness and thematic storytelling.
